| Guroth the Forsaken12-08-06, 10:20 AM | Here's a thread to compile good names for shops and businesses you can use for a town or city. Other ideas: The Vulgar Unicorn (a tavern from Robert Asprin's Theives' World books) The Loaded Die Omar's <<insert common shop type here>> (inspired by an actual Omar's in Lansing, MI) |

An inn primarily frequented by spellcasters and adventurers of all sorts. The inn is run by an enthusiastic mage and his staff of unseen servants... So rather predates Mr King. You know, speaking *his* name visits unholy torment upon you? (Not Stephen King, the other King, the one that wears mustard coloured robes) :ghosted: |
| Khandar12-11-06, 02:44 AM | I knew it was from Lovecraft, which is why Stephen King used it. It could be a shop that is also a front for a cult. |

That brings it to 94, btw. 95.) How about an armory called "The Choppe Shoppe". It's owned by an old man named Rogan who's missing several fingers, who uses a lot of military jargon when speaking to customers to try to impress them with knowledge. He never actually served in an army, merely quite clumsy when dealing with sharp objects. He has, however, a keen eye for quality material and weapons. He sells poor quality items cheaper than usual and superior quality for more than usual. EDIT: I forgot about Kitty's Chop Shop. D'oh! |
