| Elemental10-25-04, 07:24 PM | 41: "So, you take 13 points of damage from Estivan's ass...." (A little background: A drow illusionist had cast Phantasmal Killer on Galan, a half-dragon Mystic Theurge, and he failed the first save and made the second. The GM said "You see your worst fear. What is it?", and the player flippantly replied "Estivan's ass." (another PC, whom he didn't get on with)). |

PC3: Do they look..umm...wasted? DM: Yeah, them's high elves! |

| silvermist10-28-04, 12:20 PM | we have a warforge, he likes to randomly announce that he wants to "use magical device" particularly when there is no magical device around for him to use. |
| deadDMwalking10-28-04, 01:40 PM | 62) I'm going to play with my wand for a little while. Said in reference to a wand of CLW. Of course we now all call it his "pleasure wand". |

(Said by a player who's character who had just gulped a potion of Fiery Breath) 65) Ohhh, *gag* she's filthy and she smells like she's been rolling in dragon guts! I'll take her. (Don't ask.) 66) Get your wand out of my face before I snap it off! Isshia |
| ShadowDragon868510-28-04, 02:21 PM | 64) I drink it quickly and wait for the burn before I belch it back at the Prince. (Said by a player who's character who had just gulped a potion of Fiery Breath) 65) Ohhh, *gag* she's filthy and she smells like she's been rolling in dragon guts! I'll take her. (Don't ask.) 66) Get your wand out of my face before I snap it off! Isshia I really have to ask... 65 and 66: Please tell. |
| Stefanjames10-28-04, 02:36 PM | 67. "Stay hidden until you can take him from behind..." |
| Cantankerous10-28-04, 02:52 PM | Oh well, I didn't go into it before because it requirtes some set up, but you asked for it. 65) In an old campaign wherein the characters had become tremendously powerful they were aquiring "pets" from an outer planar source in Sigil with the proceeds they had earned from driving a dragon off of it's hoard. Part of the problem was that they knew that they were going to have to deal with the dragon (the survivor of a mated pair, the other of which was gutted during the titanic battle that started the whole thing) and so while they were just "spending like drunken sailors for the sake of spending like drunken sailors", they were also looking to get themselves ready for a nasty return match with the surviving dragon. Anyway, this Merchant was selling these various beasties with a Ring that would absolutely control them while it was worn and the party was looking over his wares. To cut to the chase, one of the characters, a half insane Mage, caught sight of a really viscious looking beastie called a Meratoor (a semi sapient half sphinx/half spined devil looking thing) and as he approached it's cage to get a better look he caught a wiff of it and I simply described it as horrificly foul smelling. Wanting a more exact description he asked me what it reminded him of. After the last session and waxing poetic about the stench of half acid disolved dragons bowels, I simply told him that it smelled vaguely like that. He then turned to the Merchant, an Eyrine as it so happened, and uttered that line. 66) Was uttered by the sorely wounded and terribly tired 11th level Fighter(Soldier kit, 2E) to a minor functionary of the army he was serving with who was using the Wand of Detect Magic to check him over before allowing the tired soldier into the commanders tent to give his report. Isshia |
| ShadowDragon868510-28-04, 03:10 PM | And now we see the *real* purpose of looting a dragon's horde: blow it all on junk and crap you're gonna wake up in the morning and go "I bought WHAT?!" |
| Cantankerous10-28-04, 03:31 PM | *lol* When the average level in the party is 12th and because of a curse, you can never settle down or own lands (until the curse is lifted atleast), then you gotta spend that cash on something. In my old 2E campaigns it was almost unheard of, except in a few select places in Sigil, to find ANYONE who sold magic items and even dealers in the most basic alchemaical potions were relatively rare, and there were no "banks", so it was invest the money and hope for the best or live like lords on dope (or most often a bit of both) whenever you were able and try not to think about it too much. At a party average of 15th level or so, after completing the Dead Gods campaign, the PC's were finally released of the curse that had been layed on them and did settle down to become powerful Lords (or in one case a Baroness) themselves and spawn the next generation of the Fated. It was a fun campaign and long lasting. The full campaign, of which the Dead Gods was just a part, took over 130 sessions before it passed on to the next generation, but like any mega powered campaign, it had it's blatantly silly moments. | Stefanjames10-28-04, 03:33 PM | "Can I throw the goblin?" :D |
| Ironykitten10-28-04, 08:30 PM | This one will only be understood by people who read 8 bit theature (http://www.nuklearpower.com): 68) Goblin-Chucks, HOOOOOOOOOOOO! (insane fighter trained in the art of tieing goblins together and using them as weapons. he even had the exotic weapon proficency (goblin-chucks) so he could use them without penalty!) |
| SnowbearK10-28-04, 10:34 PM | Let us not forget: 69) Where's the Monk going? Upstairs. To his private room. To be one with himself... |
| Callista10-29-04, 02:06 AM | "I'm going to kneel down... spread your legs!" --Said by a halfling who wanted to shoot at enemies from between a medium-sized character's legs. We didn't stop laughing for at least ten minutes, and the poor player turned bright red... |
| ermedic10-29-04, 04:16 AM | 71) "Why is mine smaller than his?" -said by a gnome PC compairing his weapon to the human's after 3.5 conversion 72) "I'm never going to stick my hand in a dark, wet hole again!" -said by rogue after attempting (unsuccessfully) to disarm a trap. 73) "You better stay away from my sack!" -said by fighter to the rogue |

| Death Unlimited10-29-04, 10:04 AM | 75. 'Quick, grab the wand from my belt!' Ya know, I cant help but notice about every table experiences these. From more experience, you cannot put 'Immovable Rod', 'Rod of Wonder', 'Wand of Anything' and 'Portable Hole' in the same sentence. It just doesn't work. :D |
| Cantankerous10-29-04, 10:38 AM | Or even #75 if it were old school: "I yank my Wand of Wonder out from the front of my pants." I know it's rhetorical, but this one I have to use! Deanna looked up and said; "I grab Mike's Immovable Rod, Tim's Rod of Wonder, Jack's Wand of Anything and stuff them all into my Portable Hole." Huh. What's the problem? Other than my possibly getting this thread shut down from skating too close to the edge. Group of mature adults shouldbe able to...     Or maybe not. Isshia |

"The next time the paladin touches me, I'm hitting him with a Stunning Blow." 81. Our high level party visits the castle of a noble. One of the players, who had decided he wanted his character to get married soon, and hopefully to the nobility, blurted out, "But do you have any virgins?" (A few minutes later, he said he had meant to say, "But are either of them virgins?" - which is hardly better.) 82. "Lay your hands on me" 83. "I throw it up at you." 84. Player 1: "My character goes down!" Player 2: "Ew, I didn't think you did goblins." |
| Didge10-29-04, 01:42 PM | Said by a fellow player in an older campaign... 85) "I'm in a strange mood...I think I'll go mount my horse." Everyone: :uh-huh: ...then... |
| a18ffe10-29-04, 02:09 PM | Happen once a long time ago. After a long battle and killing the BBEG, the party was looting the dungeon, and encountered a shrine with an alter. PC: " I wonder what happens if you put a virgin on the alter." Me: "I don't know...go lay on it." |

You can't even say any of them separately. Never mind the sheer chaos that would ensue with all of them in one sentence...... :D ::FLUSH!:: What was that? The whole group diving into the sewer system (as by now, they totally bypassed the gutter) |

| Ironykitten11-03-04, 10:36 AM | Ironic story: The PC's succeed in climbing a cliff that has given them trouble. On of the PC's decides that his character grabs a large, bright yellow silk scarf and begins waving it around randomly as he dances and sings for joy at the top of his lungs. This attracts the attention of a pair of griffons, who summarily dive bomb him. One of the griffons distracts his companions, while the other snatches the dancing snack. The party ranger, seeing this, decides to kill the griffon. So he uses rapid shot to try and hit it. Instead, he manages to hit his companion. Twice. In the back. This puts his friend as 1 hp. He is doomed, right? Wrong. Through an incredible series of events, the dancing elf managed to escape the griffin in its nest, climb down 120 feet, fall the other 120 feet, and use the griffin and a natural 20 reflex save to survive the whole ordeal. At one hit point. |

| Vahenir04-09-05, 07:20 AM | This is from an actual game.. some time ago. Female Monk to party about Baddie: "I'm going to give him a stunning blow. Remlan, you grab his Rod, and Tymor - you give him a good squeeze." The player stopped after that.. then we all just started laughing. Remlan was the Rogue. And Tymor could shapeshift into an anaconda - at which time he constricted people. |
