12-17-04, 12:04 PM I am sure you will enjoy this EatFlan..the 1001 thread is back...

I am a pretty regular viewer and poster on these boards and I have begun to notice a trend , as have some of you no doubt, that the boards just ain't the same as they were, say, six months ago. So I wanted to start this to see what you guys and gals want to see less and more of on these boards. Hopefully, future and current posters will read this and see what makes people angry and happy.

1. Less redundant posts "How do I add my Dexterity bonus to AC?"
2. Less people getting so serious about dumb things "How dare you say characters die while falling!!!! Thats a stupid hopuserule!!!"
3. Less of EatFlans rantings.
4. More of EatFlans insights.
5. More use of the "Search" function.
6. More Voters for my Board Awards (see sig!!!)
Any others.....?

12-17-04, 12:39 PM Ya know Board, I'm wondering if The_Cheat bumped his head and did something smart for a change when he banned you a few days ago.

But anyways, I agree with all your points so far.

#1 - this isn't the 'do my thinking for me forum' so please think first then write. Someone just posted that certain creatures have bonuses to all checks dealing with metals...so what are the chances they could have blacksmithing ranks. COME ON PEOPLE, BRAIN PLEASE!

#3 - yeah i would like the day when common sense, practicality, and a lack of tight wads allowed me to stop performing my civic duties.

then add...

#8 - less of The_Cheat 's shenannigans, such as closing threads where people are actually discussing something, even if the discussion gets heated (oh my goodness!), while he totally disregards the absolutely useless threads where there is no discussion of any merit.

Sometimes i wonder if he lives in a world where people snap their fingers when someone says a 'put down' and give out gold stars to anyone who does anything 'fantastic' such as tying their own shoes, and walking while chewing bubble gum, toss breathing w/out supervision in there as well.

Say to their idea "yay" or "nay" then offer why and a few ideas of your own. This should lead to great creations of a mass mind.

If only we could meld our brains together. That would get us... well, nowhere, probably.

19. A lot less of the Jackasses who attempt to bring real world physics into a game of fantasy and only succeed in nerfing the game so badly it's nearly unplayable. "Look what I did to the falling rules, aren't I awesome!" Bleuck! :yuck:

20. More: threads on rules clarification. No, really, I like it. I was very pleased to see the rules counseling subsection get started.

21. More: player horror stories about bad DMing. I can't get enough of these.

22. More: DM horror stories about bad playing. Again, I just eat these up.

33 I'd like to see shorter and less obnoxious sigs. I have had "sigs off' for quite some time now, but I know I am missing a few real gems once in a while. However, the "super-sig" so slows everything down and is so obnoxious that I have to leave sigs off.

34- I have no idea of who the heck "Eatflan" is (sorry, guy!) but based solely upon this one post here where he criticises The Cheat (a hard-working selfless fellow)- I can say I'd like to see less of "Eatflan" ...and my prediction is that I will be... :evillaugh :b: Of course, maybe this one post is not representative...

35- less "real world morality" threads- usually started by "Is it wrong for a Paladin to do this?"

36. Less bad DM's that think it's OK to punish their players by docking them xps.

37. Less threads with new 20 level classes. Face it- no one but you and your buddies are going to play it anyway.. :allalone: :noway:

40. Posts that have a purpose and logic. Some times the things people post make you lose faith in humanity.

41. More of the “I have problem player” post. Those post are always worth a good laugh.

Okay now that I have listen all things that annoy me I will go back to being quiet and normal.

39. Less player created prestige classes that completely nerf all the 20 lvl core classes.
40. More WOTC input and clarification on rules regarding popular (more than 4 thread running topics) character concepts. I.E. sniper rules.

42. More ShadowDragon8685. He provides numerous surprisingly accurate insights with a coating of amusingly arrogant jerkiness, and seems to be the only person on these boards who gives due respect to gestalt druid + shugenja.

43. More Koga:The ninja trick. His threads are like big magnets for useful information that nobody really thought about before.

44. More grammar and paragraph formatting; less capslock and !!!!!1 sentence endings.

45. Less alignment debates.
46. Less mentioning German dictators in alignment debates.
47. Less senseless posting in redundant alignment debates.

48. Less redundancy.

49. More people posting intelligent, well-thought out, mature arguments on the mature boards. As opposed to posts about getting the characters addicted to cocaine.

Less refers to amount, fewer refers to number. If you want fewer potatoes, then you want five of them instead of ten of them. If you want less potatoes, then you want smaller potatoes.
