Yes, posting when mad, upset or emotionally unbalanced (some are always) is "THE ONE" but what makes one mad, etc.?

1: After watching your team go from up 3-1 in the series only to have it teid at 3-3 coming back to home ice and the other team possibly being the only team in 64 years to come from a 3-1 deficit and win the whole thing!

2: Going to websites from fans of the team your team used t be before they moved and reading the "Ha, ha! People in (your region) should stick to guys making left turns all day (a 'sport" I hate) or abnormally tall college kids playing with a round, orange ball (at 5' 8" round ball is pointless to me).

3: Non sports related, when you go into a Parent Teacher meeting to discuss your child's drop in her math grades only to find the entire class has their grades dropped due to a new teacher and "her style".

4: Er, when you've nothing worth posting?

5: When you are so far off-topic that readers wander if this guy realises that he's on the Dungeons & Dragons forums.

6: When you want to start another "101, 1001 or 1*10^6 times to do XYZ"

Heheh. I'm not even a fan of either one of them, yet I do find that bit of trivial amusing. Talk about momentum shift. Strangely, I find myself cheering for either team. They both have some great, deserving players and as a team they've really earned their way into game 7.

On the topic of when not to post.

7. When two sides are arguing past each other. Often times, there are two people making post after post after post, firing those howitzers ranged at 10 miles, while standing 50 feet away. Neither is actually listening to (reading) the other side's arguement, yet they continue they'll post another 30 times. Pointless really.

Cheers

Otto :)
