1: My character has amnesia. Oh, but occasionally he has flashbacks and/or remembers small bits of his past life. ((Translation: I am too lazy to think of a backstory and you have to do it for me))
2: My character's village was attacked by orcs when he was a child. He fled into the forest and was raised by wolves. ((They must have been magic wolves too, because his guy grew up to be a WIZARD.))
3: Some priests found me in the wilderness when I was a baby, the kindhearted NG clergy of pelor raised me to be a... CN BARBARIAN
4: I'm a dwarf miner and the mine I was working in collapsed. I deemed the job of a miner to be too dangerous and instead became an adventurer.
5: My character is based on some stupid japanese cartoon. He is very silent and mysterious. Gets pwn'd by kobolds because he has 1 level in each class (('cuz this character in the TV show can throw fireballs, fly, stealth and punch people, so therefore he must be a level 1 rogue/fighter/mage/sorcerer/monk)) and has a name like Yoshimitzu even though it is a western european setting.
6: My guy is a level 1 drow ranger and has insanely powerful +5 weapons and +5 armor :nonono:
7: My character was an epic level 100 mage, but got attacked by a swarm of level draining undead. He managed to fight them off, but in the end was only level 1. His followers and servants decided they did not like him anymore so they decided to kick him out of his tower and I guess he was very forgetful because he can't remember the identity of any of his servants or even where his tower was.

This is a direct quote:

8.
"History: Krunch was born in a forest to a human mother and an Orc father. He grew up on the abttlefield but ended up as a good guy. He has many friends which include the people he campaigns with. He likes to be merciful but he has a very short temper and will end up going into a rage if he gets too mad.

Goals: To become really strong and stuff."

Sam, forgive me if you end up reading this, but you know that was a bad description.

Well...

One of my friends decided to play a Samurai. His last name was mangled into his character name, "Kuniroth". Afterwards, when asked for his background...and I quote...

"I'm just a f***ing samurai in a corner somewhere. They all meet me. I travel with em. Yo Ho!"

He then proceeded to try and get the DM to approve a spell like ability called "Kamehameha Wave" describing it as "A blast of energy that kills stuff".

I posted these on a similar thread, but here goes:

These are all imported directly from my current campaign:

"I'm a paladin with an inexplicable attraction to my pet manta ray, who is named Squigglypoo. I also have a pet bronze dragon that hatched from a glacier."

"I was male, but I spontaneously had a sex change so I could use this cool miniature."

"I took a personality test on the Internet that said I was a LG elven wizard/ranger, so that's who I am. Also, I did a favor for the Deity, so now I'm a Chosen of Mystra. Even though I'm 4th level. Even though Mystra does not exist in this campaign setting."

"I'm the nephew of a elf god-king, so I have connections with the elite and this broken sword that does 6d20 damage. I'm also immortal."

"My parents were both half-breed freaks who were killed by a mob. The trauma of watching them die unlocked my psionic powers."

"I'm a quasit physician."

"I have visions of the future. I don't know why, but they provide plot hooks."

i couldn't figure what number we're at so i'll guess 10! We have a player who comes up with these incredible character ideas in his head, but they never translate well onto paper. He's the type that would multiclass in sorcerer/fighter/rogue instead of playin a bard. Anyway, he decided to play an aarakroca (sp?) swashbuckler, raised by pirates. Aside from the BWARCK sound he insisted on making everytime he talked, the character sucked. He thought he could storm in and chop chop instead of being a finesse fighter. *grins* He was a great character to "torment". My best friend in the gaming group was playing a Half Orc fighter. When the aarakroca laid her first egg, he stole it and made an omelet. *giggles hysterically* He insisted on calling him 'parrot' and after the character died, roasted him and stuck him in a bag of holding. This exact same topic has a thread right here (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=279469). It's on the very next page of this board. It was posted to as recently as earlier today.

Sheesh. Ritalin, anyone?
