Here's the original blue one you see on all the WotC sites: http://a1204.g.akamai.net/7/1204/1401/05052711011/images.barnesandnoble.com/images/9720000/9729070.jpg But in Belgium, we have a brown one, with a red gem on top, instead of a blue gem: http://www.proxis.be/IMG5/05/18/71/5187130M.jpg Is the difference only esthetically or are there also drastic changes, perhaps some less add-ons like maps or so? I'm just wondering if it's best for me to walk in my local shop to get it there, or to order a blue edition online.. |

You could find it on sites like Amazon.com months before publication. Ultimately, the blue cover was published instead. I'm sure there aren't actually two separate DMG2s, don't worry; in fact, if you went to your local gaming store, I bet the only ones on the shelves would be blue. Good luck. |

Green Ronin has the Advanced Gamemaster's Guide (http://www.greenronin.com/catalog/grr1603) which is similar in spirit, though not presentation. According to reviews I've read, this title and DMG II supplement one another nicely. |
