I suppose you need to add also his widom modifier ? The same goes for all the skills that aren't listed ? That means you need to take some time during the game to calculate these if required. That was more for confirmation than a real question in fact :-p. Now, suppose the following scenario: the party is running through a dungeon and is followed by some monsters. They arrive in a room through a door and the room contains some furniture (like a table for example). How would you 'translate' in rules that the party tries to block the door with the table ? First on the part to move the table, I suppose I can simply make a Strenght check, beating a certain DC means the table can be moved (DC varying depending of its weight). Then it will increase the DC to force the door open (by 10 or 20, something like that) thus requiring the monsters to destroy the door and maybe go through obstacles (the table is still in front of the door), which will leave some more time for the party. Would you do it that way ? Another scenario would be that a party member tries to keep the door closed. Then the monsters can try to open the door with opposed Strenght check ? Thank you |

You only need to recalculate things if you change stats, HD, or class levels. I think moving tables and chairs around really is a matter of max lift or drag weight for a given strength. |
