Hello I got two questions;
1- I got trouble with a player in my campaign, who is saying that he can upgrade his arrows and he is a Arcane Archer

So he have a +5 bow with +5 arrows of his class and +4 arrows which he buyed!

Tell me that it's not true!

Enhance Arrow (Su): At 1st level, every nonmagical arrow an arcane archer nocks and lets fly becomes magical, gaining a +1 enhancement bonus. Unlike magic weapons created by normal means, the archer need not spend experience points or gold pieces to accomplish this task. However, an archer’s magic arrows only function for her. For every two levels the character advances past 1st level in the prestige class, the magic arrows she creates gain +1 greater potency (+1 at 1st level, +2 at 3rd level, +3 at 5th level, +4 at 7th level, and +5 at 9th level).

So what I'm thinking it's that he cannot do what he did right?

2- That same player is saying that because he have a padded armor he can have bracers of armor because they "go on his arms"

Bracers of Armor: These items appear to be wrist or arm guards. They surround the wearer with an invisible but tangible field of force, granting him an armor bonus of +1 to +8, just as though he were wearing armor. Both bracers must be worn for the magic to be effective.
Moderate conjuration; CL 7th; Craft Wondrous Item, mage armor, creator’s caster level must be at least two times that of the bonus placed in the bracers; Price 1,000 gp (+1), 4,000 gp (+2), 9,000 gp (+3), 16,000 gp (+4), 25,000 gp (+5), 36,000 gp (+6), 49,000 gp (+7), 64,000 gp (+8);Weight 1 lb.

So what i'm thinking that is again not right? right?

Because 2types of same bonus don't stack yeah?

I'm not sure about the arrow question, but you are right about the armor. The bonuses won't stack. He can have both on at the same time, but he will only get on Armor Bonus to his AC, whichever is higher. Bracers of Armor and Padded Armor both give Armor Bonuses, which means they will not stack with each other.

On the arrows he can choose either the +5 bonus from his prestige class or the +4 bonus for the arrows, though he will likely be peeved because of the money he spent on the arrows, so let him trade them in for something else.

Well, he has a +5 bow, so none of it matters because the bow imbues the bonus to the arrows. Therefore, he can have mundane arrows that are considered +5 when shot from that bow.

Now, he will be peeved that he bought that +5 bow when he AA ability allows him to do this. Of course, he could give the weapon to another character, and they would have TWO people with +5 arrows.

I would allow him to have all the money from the +4 arrows (if he bought them) because it goes against the rules of the game, and the CHARACTER would know that they dont stack.

Now, if there is a character who does not have a magical bow, or does not have a +4 bow, then those arrows will still be useful.

he should trade in the arrows for ones with special abilities like flaming or frost as those would work in conjunction with the +5 bow. The +5 from his class ability is great if he ever loses the bow, he can use a normal one pretty effectively.

Note that if they're playing 3.0, the enhancement bonus on the bow and the arrow stack. So he would have a +10 total.

It should be noted that the arrows will still need to be at least +1 before any other abilities can be placed on them.
If you are playing 3.5 they should consider investing in a +1 bow with a load of other enhancements (flaming, shocking, etc.), since the bow will confer that ability on the normal arrows that become +5. More economical over the long run. Turning normal arrows into +5 flaming, shocking, whatevering arrows is a pretty good deal.

As has been said, assuming this isn't 3.0, then whichever bonus is higher, bow or arrows, will be the one that applies to the shots. If he had +5 arrows and a +1 bow, he'd still get the +5. Even if he only had +1 arrows and a +1 bow, if he's getting +5 from AA, then they're +5 when they leave the bow; but no, they don't stack.

He's right about the armor, almost. He's welcome to buy Bracers of Armor and wear them with his padded armor. Whichever one gives the higher armor bonus will be the only one that affects his AC though.

I've got a character like that. He wears Bracers of Armor and padded armor at the same time. I got the padded armor enchanted to +1 heavy fortification. It doesn't hinder me at all, I get all the armor bonus from my bracers, and I'm immune to critical hits.
