If a creature has DR 20/+4, what would that be in 3.5?

I was thinking something like DR 15/Adamantine and magic. Perhaps even 20/adamantine and magic.

Any thoughts? The creature for which I ask the question is the Steel Predator in Fiend Folio, if that helps at all.

I'm thinking simply DR 15/Admantine.

Why? Well, DR/Admantine and Magic is fairly redundant. As a general rule, most PCs will go for main weapons made of Adamantine (it gives additional benefits besides penetrating DR, pierces the most annoying damage reduction, and costs approximately the same amount of money).

Not only that, but any characters at level 13 or above are *bound* to have Greater Magic Weapon availible for any weapon they plan to use - it's only a third-level spell and lasts hours.

DR 15 rather than 20 is simply because it's a relatively hard target as is. Assuming your characters can't pierce the DR, with DR 20 your fighters will be feeling relatively put-upon unless they can put a bit into power attack.

As an Outsider rather than a Construct, your Rogues can still do appreciable damage via sneak attack, even if they don't have adamantine.

Thank you very much. :)

I love the monsters in Fiend Folio, but I'm terrible with DR conversions.
