What about a list for GMs, though, in a similar format? I don't know, off the top of my head, what the types of GMs would be (Monty Haul? Twisted? Novelist? Tyrant?), but I'm sure we can come up with something, along with a bunch of indicators of what sort they are, like: "On Equipment: Monty Hauls' parties have weapons with a number of plusses equal to roughly their respective ECLs. Twisted GMs' parties generally have cursed weapons with the opposite alignment effect. Novelists' parties' paladin bears the ancient sword of mighty Kings of Old, the last of whom had to give up the mighty ancestral blade as a dowry to secure the marriage of his daughter to a mighty vassal who threatened to destroy the crumbling kingdom, where the sword rested for two generations, before the vassal's castle was stormed by an orcish horde, one of whose soldiers picked up the sword as common loot, yet its symbolic power remains to reunite the disparite kingdoms of... (etc, etc) Tyrants' parties' have exactly the equipment the DM wants them to have. No, the fighter may not replace his longsword with a warhammer!" You get the idea. I'm not sure that "monty haul, twisted, novelist, tyrant" designations are right, and I'm sure that they're not inclusive of most DMing styles, so make your own suggestiosn. |
