Hey I am a little confused on some stuff that my PCs are wanting to get into. I have really only DM'ed for about a year and have pretty much all the basics down but some of the added templates and stuff I have issues with. Here are my problems (some include NPCs I will play/help the group). I play in a Eberron world.

**All friends names will only be listed with first letter only**

1. My friend T is an Elf Sorc right now. He wants to multiclass into a Dragon Disciple and then a Dragon Prophet. My problems with him being a DD is the stat bonuses. I see at 2 different levels that he gets a +2 to str. Now does this stack with what he gets at his 10th lvl of DD when he achieves Half-Dragonhood? I think Half-Dragons get a total of +8 to their Str. I also see that a DD gets a natural armor bonus as he levels, does this stack with the +4 he gets as a Half-Dragon? I am just not sure what does and doesnt stack with the Dragon Disciple/Half-Dragon.

2. Friend J is a Kalasthar Soulknife and wants to multiclass into a Rogue and then an Elocater. It says in the prereq that he needs to manifest a power, does his racial power-like ability (mind link) count? And later on because of Elocater it says he can flank anyone as long as an ally is in melee range of it. That means he can sneak attack at almost anytime right? And can he do Psychic Strike and Sneak Attack in the same round?

3. Friend B is a Elf Wizard/Psion. He recently tried to use a power on a "boss" monster and it says that for every power point he puts in it the dice dmg goes up by 1d10 (or something like that) as does the DC. A Psion gets like 300 PP by 20th lvl, does that mean if he wanted to he could expel all his PP's and kill basically anything in one go or does he have to follow a restriction like level on how many PPs he can use on one power?

4. Friend S is a Daelkyr-Half Blood Artificer. I am curious to know if he can use the infusion Natural Weapon Augmentation Personal on his symbiont (Throwing Scarab, 1d6 slashing, 1d6 acid, 19-20x2) to imbue it with bane or keen or enhancements of the like. His argument is that DHB are born with the symbiont and thus it is a natural weapon. Also can he use the same infusion to imbue a Soulknife mindblade or does he have to use a different infusion or can he not do it altogether?

5. I am making an NPC that will help the PCs find an artifact later on in their levels. He is a Changeling Rogue/Shadowdancer that has been turned into a Vampire. Since he is now undead does he lose the ability to shape shift? I am curious about how the extra templates work. For example, a Dwarven Renegade Mastermaker achieves his final level and recieves the template of Living Construct and thus loses all his previous racial abilities. Now I may have read that wrong but is that the case? And if so does that mean if someone gains a new template or sub-type they lose out on their racial abilities or am I completely out of the field on that one? I would really like the thought of having a vampiric spy that can shape shift into different people, but dont want him to be too overpowered.

I know some of this stuff might be in the book but sometiems I skip over stuff or just cant wrap my head around what it is that is stated and so I get confused and my PCs get overpowered or super weak. If someone could help me with this it would be appreciated. I just have a lot fo college work to do and cant study the books as much as I would like.

1:No these abilities do not stack with the half-dragon template that they get at 10th level.

2:I don't think a psi-like ability counts for the purpose of requirement for a PrC. If it does though he can indeed he can sneal attack anytime someone else is in melee. Also yes you can combine Psychic Strike and Sneak Attack in the same round.

3:Yes Player B is restricted to their manifester level( which is different then character level) in how many PP then can spend on any power. As a example if he is a 4th level Psion and a 4th level Wizard he can only spend 4 Power point per power, barring any feats like overchannel or pracriced manifester.
Also the power you described is called Mind Turst which DCs goes up per 2 PP you spend to increase the damage. So if you spend 2 PP it does 2d10 and the DC remain normal...if you spend 3 PP it does 3d10 and the DC goes up by 1.

4:My guess is he can't not if these thing do not say there are natural weapons...though he can use the weapon agumention on them.

5:Read the template it should say... Though if it is too confusing vampire do get alter self. So you can just make the base creature a human and you have your vampire spy who can shape shift.

I hope that helps.

Ok, heres how I see things...

1. Player T is wanting to enter a class with no casting progression, I'd also rule the templete and the PrC bonuses do not stack since they are the same bonuses, do however allow for any other goodies the template adds other than the stat increases.

2. Player J wants to enter a PrC that boosts manifestation abilities of an existing class. Sure he can meet the PreReq and enter it but it will not grant him psionic abilities since he doesnt have an existing manifestation class.

3. Player B can indeed augment powers but heres the rules on augmentation.
Augment
Many powers vary in strength depending on how many power points you put into them. The more power points you spend, the more powerful the manifestation. However, you can spend only a total number of points on a power equal to your manifester level, unless you have an ability that increases your effective manifester level.

Many powers can be augmented in more than one way. When the Augment section contains numbered paragraphs, you need to spend power points separately for each of the numbered options. When a paragraph in the Augment section begins with “In addition,” you gain the indicated benefit according to how many power points you have already decided to spend on manifesting the power.

4. Player S can only augment the symbiont if it has the construct subtype, otherwise no. As for the Soulknife's mindblade I would say yes but only until that particular mindblade dissipates as stated in the mindblade class ability.

5. No the Vampire can still shapeshift into other people their immunity to polymorphing effects only applies to those they are unwilling to forego. He will still detect as undead, and incur all the penalties/weaknesses of being a vampire. As far as the loss of previous racial abilities, I find this rule to be extremely dumb. Keep in mind your vampiric changeling rogue is an ECL 13 character because it needs 5HD to not just be a vampire spawn.

hope this helps,

Short version about 1:
You don't need to look at the half-dragon template. The class describes all you get, the template is acquired slowly over levels.

Ok I am still wondering about one thing though. It is about player S using the infusion "Natural Weapon Augmentation" on his symbiont or Player J's mindblade. It seems in all aspects that since player S was born with the symbiont it should count as his natural weapon (at least that is how I deem it) and the mindblade is generated from player J's mind which is a part of him. So would he be able to do this? I think someone said that it can only be used on constructs but I looked it up and it says it can be used on any natural weapon. So do you think I should allow it or not?

You should look up the infusion basic rules not the specific infusion.

Artificer infusions may be put into any object, or construct/living construct. There is no mention of people being valid targets.
