Hi guys
we are starting our second session in an hour and I'm just preparing myself to run The Wreck Ashore.
It requires a swampy area however, and my area is a typical northern snowy land. Which area would eb good enough to change from swamp to something frozen ? I'll change the monsters to fit the area naturally.

Someplace near a river. Swamps and bogs tend to generate a little bit of heat due to the constant decomposition of plant and animal matter going on. It will still freeze over in winter, but not as quickly or thoroughly as other watery areas.

Bogs (click here for the wikipedia entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peat_bog)) are found throughout northern latitudes. That, or Ecsef's suggestion of riverland seem like your best bet. You might consider setting such an adventure in high spring or summer, when (unless your world takes place in an ice age or perpetual winter) there's been some thawing and the ground is saturated with meltwater.

Hope that helps.
