A couple of questions about a PrC and a Feat [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-24-06, 07:13 AM Ok, I've got a couple of questions from Races of the Wild.

First up: The Stormtalon PrC gives the PC talon/claw attacks, 1d6 to start, and upping to 1d8. Now, it specifies that they get two of these attacks, so my question is, can they attack with both at the end of a charge, same as they can with the Footspike weapon from the same book?

Secondly: The Diving Charge feat gives bonus damage on a charge attack, depending on the attacker's fly speed. If they use a Dive attack (from the Raptoran racial stats), does this damage get doubled by the dive's "If you dive with a piercing weapon it deals double damage" thing?

Can't really help you too much here, because I do not have Races of the Wild. I just wanted to give you a bump and highlight this...

Claw or Talon: The creature rips with a sharp appendage, dealing piercing and slashing damage.

As claws and talons do piercing damage, I would think a dive attack with a claw or talon would qualify for double damage based on your quote.

Hopefully, someone can give you a more definitive answer.

Yeah, I know that the claw/talon would qualify for double damage, the big question is whether the extra damage from diving charge is added before doubling (like damage from fiery etc) or after (like sneak attack).
