I looking for good ideas...
At the last session, the psychic warrior coldly slauthered a goblin who help the group assassin a giant in his sleep. After the job done and succesfull, he refused to give him the 4 rubis promissed, and only gave him 2 (thanks too the 2 other players who insisted on giving him something.) He let the goblin know that he should be happy to be alive! The goblin ran away. He let him run a little than ran after him, he cought up easily and stabbed him just like that. I ask him why he did that, he answered
" a Goblin's live is worth less than 2 rubis"
Before the goblin died, he said something in an unknowed language (i.e. Goblin).
It's a curse and I can't find a good idea for an original curse.

I read the Forbidden chapters. And they are Lv. 7 They are in the montains

Thanks

Edit:
Oh ya, I forgot about the flail. IT's a huge magic flail in mythryl, they stole it from the giant they killed with the goblin's help. They have to give it two another giant, in exchange he will guide them throught the montains. IT's a hill giant (dumb and brutal) and he'll have the flail. IT's a "gigantic" Flail, I'm looking for a particular power, not the classic ones... any suggestions?

Hmmmm.... the old Ravenloft system had rules for dying curses. I will see if I can find it. (or anyone else who may have it could chome in ;) ) As for the flail it should be benificial to both the giant who had it and the one that wants it (not as much so for the latter, he may just want it BECAUSE the other has it), so tell a bit about the recently slain giant

Just off the top of my head:

1) A haunting - the goblin appears in his dreams, and wakes him frequently. He gets no benefit from sleep and suffers from exhaustion until he atones

2) The goblin is not powerful enough to do a full haunting, but can appear as an image twice per day, shaking his fist at the PC. He tends to do this during combat....right in front of the PC's eyes and only visible to him...as an axe is coming down (seriously penalty to AC from distraction a couple times per day).

3) Karma - turns out the rubies were stolen originally from someone big and royal. He is caught with ALL of them.

4) He now bears an arcane mark visible to all goblinoids, indicating that the one who slays him will be forever blessed among their kind. Goblin shamans have mystic visions of him, and are given his location.

5) Despite the evil nature of goblins, this betrayal and the curse of the goblin rests as a blight on his spirit. He cannot be targeted by resurrection or perhaps even ANY beneficial clerical spells until he atones AND gets a Remove Curse

6) The goblin phrase was 'Your betrayals will end' - until the curse is removed, any Bluff checks are at -10...or make it impossible for the character to lie

7) The phrase was 'Your life is worth a thousand rubies' -- the character begins to petrify, losing 2 Dex and 1 Charisma each day, and turning into a statue of ruby. His friends can either help him get it removed (and the ruby goes away), or they can sell his deceitful stone rump once he's done.

8) The phrase was 'They are yours forevermore' - the rubies, if sold, reappear in the character's pocket within the hour. This SOUNDS great, until the buyers come looking for him.

You've got to love these two...damn i'm putting a goblin in my campaign..

A spin on "Your life is worth a thousand rubies"- the player is suddenly wanted dead (for murder no less) in cetain towns, the reward being 1,000 rubies.

Or "May your second face be revealed to the world"- Will save DC + Goblin level, if fails a sinister-looking face forms in the back of the players head, and he loses a permanent d6 charisma points. When it's covered by a helm, hood, or any other kind of headgear, the two faces swap sides until the item is removed. :evillaugh

"May those rubies be the death of you as well." The two gems are now cursed: anyone who sees them is overwhelmed (Will DC 20) with a desire to own them by any means possible. This includes party members. Note that, like all cursed items, it is impossible to remove them from one's person. Also, the rubies make themselves known to others somehow, no matter how deeply they are buried in one's pack. Also, unlike normal cursed items, this one cannot be removed with a Remove Curse; Atonement must be cast first, and the quest must involve doing a good deed for a goblin without reward.

The other rubies are unaffected.

The giants background aren't very well developped, they were improvised. (more or less). They are commun hill giants, two brothers living apart. The smart one asked the players too stell the strong one's weapon...
I'll chek who or what could of crafted the flail. 'Caus a gigantic magic mithral flail isn't commun weaponry...

I don't think the player will ever atone.... he's Neutral Evil. He was a thief and he turnd Evil when he robbed a bak to get money too save his friend. That's not Evil, but he slauthered everyone in the bak just to have a little more time to escape, he knew the priest would interrogate the ghosts anyway. And he ended up not saving his friend at all, he saved some other guy in his guild (a NPC).

I liked the idea number 6.
He lies a lot and ony cares about his income.
The idea number 8 is cool too, but the problem it that he's a bastard, he'd like that. And he'd just kill the guy and rob him of the rest of his possessions...

And Even if they are level 7, they don't have a lot of magic items...
An Elven thinblade +1 the nobody know how to weild.
That's all... they have basic equipment, and the flail of course.
But they are gonna have more quite soon. I prepared a few encouters that will give them some. THey'll need it, they are in the harsh wilderness and the guild the are trying too join has all their stuff :D

I thought of two curse.
The firt one is the the goblin turn into a some sort of ghost. It aint very dangerous, but it'll warp back too the place he got killed each time he "dies". He will want more than anythinr the FOUR rubis and won't rest until he have them. IT'll be a pain in the ass if can leech a little exp...
The second one is the the 2 rui are alway covered in gobln blood, they swaet blood. All goblinlike creature can instinctly tell it's goblin blood and that he the responsible one. Its gonna be quite some trouble, the bloog wil dirty everything, it will attracte wild animals and most of all, the goblins are the most powerfull civilisation, they have the big cities and all... And since he wants to be in a guild more than anything...

Ill think about it.
Thanks for all the other ideas.
