A first leel adventure [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-31-05, 12:53 PM which of the three downloadable adventures is best for a first time party? I don't want to run the ship-awake adventure, so that leaves two. Which should I go with?

it is a short adventure, but it is very simple and actually takes like an hour O_O (or half). so i recomend that. after that i would due windswept wall.

08-01-05, 10:04 AM I liked the look of D&SK, as it assumes no previous connection between the party, which is good to roleplay them getting to know each other. Depending on how much background you have for characters, fitting it in that they're heading to the next adventure for their own reasons works quite well. So, if you run Burning Plague next, perhaps one of the characters is visiting a relative, one is looking to work down the mine, one is planning on helping the ill people there. Just as a way to move the party on from their first random meeting.
