okay this is what's happening so far. I have afive player in the campaign and they are currently at war. or involved in a war. they are ecl 13 and they consist of a barbarian, mage(summoner), tiefling thief, cleric and barbarian spell caster mix. this is what has happened so far they are located in the silver marches and they are at war with Thay and the orcs (under the direction of king obuold). they started out with liberating citedel adbar from destruction and have made some allies due to the helping deliver them from being completely destroyed. from there i had them go to citedel felbar and rescue some women and children from being discovered by the occupying armies. meaning yes the citedel fell and i had king obould using it for the time being. unfortunately they did kill him but what the hey that allows me to bring in someone more powerful to fill his gap. now this is the dilemma. they are going to have to go to silvery moon to help there as well. now what this is where i need help. you see this war is for the purpose to allow one of my players to fullfil her dream and kill her former slave master from thay, Who is a red wizard and i have controlling the war. what i have so far is that i will capture the party so they know who they are up against and while in there i intend for them to see that alustriel is captured and tortured, but not intend to be killed, yet. so i want them to be able to save her and escape to return back to silver moon and then be apart of an all out war between thay and the armies of the silver marches. during the course of this battle they will have to focus on this red wizard and his blue dragon and whatever else it takes to have them on the same challenge level. so my question for help comes in the part of the escape and the full battle between the two forces.

I agree on the non-compliance with anything gramatical.

Aside from that, you have a couple major problems (IMO) with your campaign structure:

1. You are forcing the players to do things.
2. One of your PCs has a seemingly impossible task and you are trying to 'bend the world' to make it happen.
3. It seems you have already railroaded the PCs a couple times (they may not mind) and are planning to do it again.
4. (Here's the doozie) A powerful wizard is going to capture someone he's already captured once and disregard that her only goal in life is to kill him while he holds her a 'loose' captive (otherwise how would she ever escape) or use her as a slave when there are thousands of perfectly good, and woefully less threatening, commoners available in the realm.

Fix those little issues and you'll be fine.
