| altus_6601-26-05, 07:49 PM | I'm a very new DM. I had only played a little when i was in high school and i just recently bought the v. 3.5 core books. i was able to get some of my friends to play and we play all the time now. i've been writing a quest and i'm almost to the end and i want to end with a very powerful power hungry chaotic evil wizard. say around level 15. i don't want him to be the normal baddy though and if someone with some experience could help me on the developement of his personality and such things i would be very grateful. |

"very powerful power hungry chaotic evil wizard" is a start, but without some basic campaign info or more specific plot storyline, it's difficult. I would start with something in the realm of 20+ questions; What's his name? Does he have a title? What race is he? Age? Any specializations or specific skills? Prestige Class? Why is he involved with this 'quest'? What does he want? Why is he 'power hungry'? Does he have a lair, henchmen, pet? What land did he come from in your campaign? Is his magical power based on a specific school or type of magic? What magic items does he use? Does he worship a deity? These and other questions can help you begin to define your NPC. If you can give us a little more info, we might be able to come up with something more detailed. Damren |
