question about this spell...

-Create magic tatoo-

Can the caster cast this spell to his/herself, our dm said that you can't cast it to yourself, you'll need another caster to give you the benefit of this spell... it's not said in the description that you can't or can cast it to yourself...
Do you just cast the spell or do you need to draw it to? dont you think it's a waste of time for a 1 day duration?

help please.. i'm thinkin' of adding this in my sorcerer spell list, all i want to know is, will i be able to cast it to myself...and do i need to waste hours just to have the image drawn in my skin just to have a 1 day effect??
I'm thinking since this is a conjuration spell (am i right?) casting this spell is like summoning an image to appear in your body, but our dm said you need someone to cast and tatoo the image to your body... making it a supportive spell, beneficial only to others, not to the caster...

we're comparing it to lesser ironguard spell please check the target description of both spell... in Forgotten Realms handbook.

Nowhere does it say you can't tattoo yourself. You need to cast a seperate spell for each tattoo and can only have 3 on you at any given time. So you spend 30 min on each tattoo, cast the spell and make the DC craft check and you can get the bonuses.

But if your DM wants to house rule it, its up to him/her.
