A sample country [Archive] - Wizards Community

Does any body have a political map of DnD country that I could use as a basis for my country. I have never made a country before, nor have seen one made for DnD use. I really have no idea what's a reasonable size, number of cities, distance apart from cities, etc. I've tried looking for a real medieval country's map online, but they all only show the major cities, no towns, hamlets, or the like.

You would have to look at a campaign setting book. "Greyhawk" is the default campaign setting, if that is what you are looking for. "Forgotten Realms" is also popular. Something that is now a bit off beat, but noted as being high quality are some books by Gary Gygax:

Gary Gygax's World Builder
Gary Gygax's Nation Builder
