| Aishar10-01-05, 02:52 PM | I want to give each of my players a unique and special ability, something that is not covered in the rule books. So one player can enter a sort of "dreamworld" in his sleep from where he can search the whole world, but cannot interact it, another player has prophetic dreams, another player is the Lord of Winter is is able to use a cold touch and so on, and another player can see and interact with the Dead. However, a new player joined my group, and I have no idea of what sort of ability I can give him. I want something to do with luck, but I can't think of what, except give him rerolls or bonuses to saving throws, although that's very lame considering the roleplaying options the powers of the other players give them. So, any ideas, anyone? |

In addition, he can speed up the land speed of him and his allies by 10' once per day, slow down poison's delay period, delay disease incubation, and other minor time-affecting stuff. |

If he enters a bar then all kinds of people will come up to him saying, "Don't I know you?", and he can get his lucky breaks from that. Idea 2 When he rolls a 20 or his opponents roll a 1, whatever happens is totally outrageous. That's a way of bringing in extreme luck without actually giving him bonuses - and it gives you as DM a lot of control over just how lucky he is. Idea 3 Instead of giving him bonuses, perhaps anyone he meets becomes lucky or unlucky depending on how he feels about them. So anyone this PC plays at darts is liable to hit the landlord or fall into a bucket of water; anyone carrying a message for the PC is mysteriously never ambushed. This could be even more amusing if the guy himself wasn't particularly lucky. |
