A three month break... [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-04-07, 11:07 AM After about a three month break, I am starting up my campaign again. However, due to my bad memory and my ineptitude to take notes, I forgot where my characters were. Should I just start a new campaign, or just BS my way through it? Any help would be appreciated.

02-04-07, 12:03 PM I'd probably start a new game if I were you. But why not explain the situation to your players and ask them what they want to do? It may help you make a decision.

02-04-07, 12:09 PM I've been in that situation, and I will ask my players what they remember. If they only remember that they stopped at the bridge, but don't remember getting to the castle, you'll probably want to start back up at the bridge no matter what.

If you can't get a hold of your players in time, just pick a spot and go there. They probably won't notice.

The journey was uneventful except for a few fights with goblins and orcs that you guys blew through. You each gained 1150 experience.
Once you got to town you decided to settle and take a break from adventuring, then winter came with a particulary aweful snowstorm, so you decided to stay in town to wait out the season.
It's early spring, the snow is thawing and its time to move on...."
