| Etiquette_Gnome08-15-07, 09:00 PM | I remember reading an online article that discussed the various pros and cons of ability score generation, and emphasized considerations other than pure numerical analysis (the psychology behind it, as it were). I think it ended with him choosing some kind of organic 4d6 system where you got to reroll one stat and switch two stats, or something to that effect. Does anyone know of said article, and could they provide a link? |

| Baernwulf_of_Nor08-17-07, 12:53 AM | I know exactly what your talking about. That guy, whoever posted, unless he said so is taking credit from the DMG. Roll 4d6 for attributes in order. Ex: 4d6 for str, 4d6 for dex so on and so on Re-roll one stat of your choice, keep the roll if its higher. Chose two stats of your choice and swap their placement. This is good because it can let people still play who they want to be, but they may have some handicap or unwanted bonus, much like in real life. BoN |
