| kaeso08-15-05, 12:38 AM | I have a few issues of Dungeon magazine, and a copy of 'The Sunless Citadel' and I was totally excited about reading through them, and after about 30 minutes I could NOT focus at all. Does anyone else think reading adventures can be boring sometimes, or have I been reading just too much D&D stuff lately and burnt myself out? Just wondering. |

| WizardlyFriend08-15-05, 01:19 AM | i read that through in one sitting. it wasn't that boring. i try to read a room and then imagine what it's like for the PCs to go into the room. i havent actually used sunless citadel yet, but i have read it. it sounded like a fun adventure when i read it though |

Is something stressing you out in life at this time? Perhaps that girl that you attempted to court has found out who her mystery man was and decided to have a sex change? Perhaps D&D may not be your forte as you once thought. The exciting and wonderfull world of bird watching is just a windowpane away. :D |
| Rathje08-15-05, 02:14 AM | Skim the first time you read it. Get the general feel of it. Then drop it and go do something else. Second time you read it, be very thorough in the more interesting parts. Third time through, tackle whatever's left. Fourth time, go and skim again. If anything jumps out and screams new material or it's just something you can't remember, read it again. Then pick it up and read again whenever you feel like it. |
| kaeso08-15-05, 12:40 PM | lol i dont need ritalin, i can usually focus on very boring stuff for a long time. and i love D&D, so that's not the problem... I'm stressed about school and homework, too... I think its cause I'm just burnt out on D&D stuff for now, its all i ever do cause thats all there is to do except watch tv. i think ill just set the books down for a while. oh, and i'll try what Rathje said. |
| Rathje08-15-05, 08:29 PM | It's exactly how I read Complete Divine. It's kind of funny, too, since the first time I skimmed it, I thought it was the worst of the Completes. Now that I've had time to absorb all of it, I'm very pleased with it. Though, it still needs more non-Paladin or Cleric deity-related feats. Paladins and Clerics aren't the only people who worship. |
| kaeso08-16-05, 01:23 AM | I'm BACK! YES! haha I just read through the Sunless Citadel, and I know after that I'm gonna run them through The Forge of Fury so I'm gonna go get it tomorrow. thanks for your help! |
