| Evil DM Mk311-04-05, 05:20 AM | Ok, long story short I need the party to find a dwarven cultural artifact (minor magical artifact too) that is inteded as a symbol of othority for the elected leader of every dwarven Kru'az. This is both a stave of office for the Thane (that is what they are called) and a weapon (plus in later years, a walking aid). It is too small and crude (in weapon tearms, not decoration, although this one appears to be nothing but a nobbled lump, the PCs have llready learnt that this is deliberate for some of these "Thane Staves", mounths of carfull crafting ocur to ensure they have the right simple and honest look.) to be anything but a club, but I cant work out how much it should weigh. |

If I understand the question correctly, you have an adamantine club and want to know how much it weighs? But you don't want to just pick a reasonable number, say, same as a battle axe? IIRC, there's no weight penalty for adamantine over steel. So compare the specific gravities of oak and steel...multiply the weight for a normal club by that ratio. tada. Google will be your friend. |

| PenderGrass11-04-05, 03:40 PM | or.... you could do what most experienced DMs do...... make it up... Shhhhhhhhh...... Man, give the whole show away. No, I suggest that you make an adamantine club and then weigh it - that is what an experienced DM would do. Don't listen to spoogemonkey's, um, er, spooge. <sheesh> :dragon: **** |
| olshanski_home11-04-05, 03:57 PM | Adamantine Club, 6 lbs. Adamantine Greatclub, 12 lbs. These weights are for medium creatures. A weapon for a small creature weighs half as much, a weapon for a large creature weighs twice as much. |
