| chrome_gnome01-16-05, 07:01 PM | I'd like to tap into the creativity here to fill out the options provided by the WoTC Adventure Hook generator Link Here (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/hook/Welcome.asp) There are 12 options to each "blank" in the "fill in the blank" form it uses. I'm adding all the choices to a random generator I'm entering into my DM Genie software to provide me with a diverse set of hook options for on the fly needs I have at times. The form follows this pattern: You start the adventure in start location You meet an NPC who offers you a mission You are tasked with resolving problem or mystery They have determined it to be the work of threat NPC or monster You must travel to adventure location to find threat NPC or monster End the threat in exchange for reward If you've got some ideas for the categories in italics just post them and list what category your idea is for. I'd suggest running the generator on "Bare Bones" mode seve times to see what already exists as choices. I plan on adding the better suggestions to a DM Genie adventure I made to hold these generator lists. If anyone uses DM Genie I can email them the finished adventure tables for thier use. You can also download a 60 day fully functional copy of DM Genie for free from their site if your not familiar with how their random encounter generator can be used to generate any random table. As a side note I've also got an adventure file that has all the old random tables plus some of my own creations like the dungeon dressing, random things you find on a trail, smells, sounds etc if anyone wants that for DM Genie as well. |

| General_Ridley01-17-05, 03:30 PM | I've got a group of monsters if you're playing up about 15th level. so this would be a good group to have them fight at 15th level: 1 young adult Red dragon female, 1 young adult Fiendish red dragon male, 1 half-fiend red dragon that is child of the two aforementioned dragons. PC's can defeat the half-fiend dragon, and incur the anger of the parents. In final conflict with parents, they can defeat the parents in their layer, creating great treasures for the PC's. |
