She was a normal dryad until that aspect of Zuggtmoy moved in...now her tree's corrupted and she as well, quite insane. The PCs destroyed the aspect (though she'll return, due to a big mistake on the PCs' parts...) but didnt get the Dryad, who will out of rage fell her own tree and make some items out of it to take with her. I really have two requests for suggestions here... What items would be good to make/transportable/etc? Keeping in mind her Tree Stride ability as well. What class to advance her as? Druid and Cleric (Plant domain) are both doable, but other options that might augment her existing abilities are also good. As for the mistake? The aspect was spreading its influence with a gem that causes plants to grow rapidly, in her case, fungus. She also created fungus versions of the Yellow Musk Zombies, with her instead of the Creeper...which means I had to consider the 'Seeded' ability of them. The PCs not only inexplicably decided to take the severed head of one of the zombies with them, but the same person keeping the head is keeping track of the plant growth stone! |

With those she can make effective ambushes -from bushes- and can use effective ghorila tactics. In this case i'd suggest a bow to be made from her tree. |

I also have this vision of a Dryad barbarian. It sounds really weird, but from the way you described her it sounds like fury is the motivation for her turn to the dark side. I envision her as covering her body in war-paints rendered from nature, and carrying around an oversized quarterstaff she made from her tree. It would be designed for a large-sized creature, but she either burns a feat to get the exotic weapon proficiency, or it's magical because it's fashioned from the bones of a dryad's tree. There's also that "Un-Druid" prestige class, called something like "Ravager." That might be appropriate if she's turning her back on the wilds. |

She's not too good at going undercover in human society, due to A: looking like a tree, and B: having fungal growths on her, like a tree. But I suppose that's what Charm Person's for... Great Suggestion if it'd worked... couple PCs fall asleep from Deep Slumber, then Entangle hits the area. Rogue: There's some psychotic druid here doing this! Dryad: (Suggestion spell) Yes, a druid's doing it...isn't that dwarf fellow over there a druid? Better stop him! Too bad the guy was a Changeling...that bonus made the save for him. |
