| Lenwe Luinwe02-23-06, 01:21 PM | Hello, I have quite a problem on my hands. I have 2 hours to create a horrror adventure. I am pretty good at 'winging it' but this is kind of difficult to wing it all. If you could help it would be appreciated. ANything would be of help. There are 4, 1st level Pcs, we are using psionics handbook, arms and eequiptment guide, dieties and demigods, Core of course, song and silence, and unearthed arcana. If you have any ideas, linked to premades, or interesting places where i could run a freelance adventure please feel free to post. |

Given a psion villian, the powers of the mind, when malfunctioning, should be creepy. Somebody died with torture applied beforehand. The PCs find the body - detail it like Charles Manson was there - while they are doing something else that will cause trouble. This makes things twice as bad. An unseen killer, like the shark in Jaws, is scarier than one who acts in plain sight. Make the villian a rogue with Shadowdancer levels. Put whirling blades, flying knives (preferably with serrated edges), sawblades, and such things across their path for your traps. Maybe some episodes of Fear Factor will offer ideas. Bugs. Drowning (caught inside a cage being lowered into tank of water). Hordes of rats, obviously rabid and hungry. Having to sacrifice blood ( = lose HP ) to get somebody else out of a death trap - after the cleric runs out of CLW spells. No way out (big rock rolling towards entrance to cave). Poison gas (greenish mist?) flows out of the walls and pools on floor, then rises into room. Assassin vines - the plants aren't supposed to be dangerous! Anything that can sneak up on you from behind. The dark (magically enhanced). |
