Lord Psynister 04-20-07, 11:21 PM	I'm in need of some help here guys, I remember back in the day there was a premade adventure that I bought that had the players start out before rolling stats, buying gear, and all that business, starting them out in a prison cell in a dungeon guarded by goblins. The backstory included being hired by some guy to deliver a large lizard (basilisk) with a bag over its head to a guy in an alley for 1 gp or something, and when they got there they were jumped and put into the cell. When the wake up, they have to fight their way out of the cell and get out of the dungeon. As they did so, they came into a room with weapons, and then one with armor, and then anothe with a spellbook or something, and the players made their character as they went along. If they picked up a weapon, they could decide to be a class that used that weapon, if they picked up a spellbook, they could be a wizard, and so on. As they proceeded through the dungeon, they found that they would have been made into slaves to work in the salt mines that were there in the dungeon. That's really all that I remember about it, but I remember that it was a lot of fun, and I want to take some of the new players I'm working with through something similar (but in 3.5) to help ease the character creation process and not overwhelm them with rules and choices before we get started. Can anybody tell me what the name of this adventure was? And if you happen to know where I can get a copy, that would be super-freaka-cool, though I don't expect that to happen.

Tiruvel 04-21-07, 09:08 AM	This sounds like the Classic Dungeons and Dragons boxed set. It came out sometime after AD&D 2nd ed if I remember correctly. In addition to the adventure it featured cardboard miniatures and a sort of battlemap. I think there was an DMPC of some sorts named Axel who was prisoner in the same cell as the PCs.
WilliamTheSly 04-21-07, 09:24 AM	Even if you cannot find this module, it sounds as if you remember enough of it to just run it out of your head. That would be my suggestion, but then again, I tend to 'wing' most game sessions. lol :cool:
Lord Psynister 04-21-07, 12:31 PM	I've been planning on winging it with what I do remember, but I know there are things that I don't remember. I think you might be right, Tiruvel. I kind of remember something similar as far as the DMPC goes. I know it came with a battlemap, but I'm not sure about the miniatures...I do think it was a box set though, so it probably did.
