| swallowyersoul08-20-06, 10:21 PM | our group tried to do that with adventure I. the adventures are pretty well-designed, with a good mix of combat, skills and role play oriented solutions. they are, however, very similar to one another. literally half of them were 'save the captured son/daughter/nephew of the king/queen/guildmaster' and there was a strong theme of 'wizard blew up his workshop and the pcs go in and restore order' in there as well. also, the individual adventures had enough meat to them that our characters levelled up faster than the progression of adventures was set up for. (we'd be fifth level with a 3rd level adventure next in the bood, ferinstance). short version: good stuff. but don't base a campaign on running them as a series. |

They are just slightly beefier than the free ones available through WOTC, and they have a little bit more artistic flair or voice. If you were to put them together, you certainly wouldn't use all of the adventures. I think that Adventure1 was one of the better purchases I've made. I don't own Adventure2, mainly because my FLGS doesn't carry it. |
