Hi all,

Can anyone suggest a good, short adventure I could run?

I have some old gaming chums coming to visit and will probably get one evening of game time with them. I figured a good convention scenario with pre-generated characters would be ideal. Can anyone suggest such an adventure? Ideally it has a bit of role playing and a bit of monster bashing. Campaign setting is not an issue.

Cheers

check the downloads section for some good ones. tho i admit a few are pretty cliche' (I mean cmon, If a nobel invites you to his Ominous Mansion for dinner hes OBVIOUSLY a Vampire... I couldnt Trick my players into Not killing him even if his wife was a Radiant Servant of Pelor who worked for the Church!)

I suggest Somthing with the undead.

Perhaps this might spark your imagination:

While at a roadside Inn the players arive weary from a hard day of Non stop walking from the Last town over. while there Everyone seems to be murmuring about a few patrons going missing in the night. no one knows why. but 1 Clue is a Shady band of Adventurers who moved thru just yesterday - Said they were searching for an Old Barrow hidden somewhere in the wood.

Make an Evil party of the same level for a climax fight for the evening. have the players go look for the barrow, find it pryed open, explore in and find freshly animated dead / Natural inhabitents of the barrow - then find the evil adventurers finnicking over the inscriptions on a Sarcophagus Deep within the barrow.

after abit of Banter perhaps the Evil party doesnt apreciate having company and Sets Rebuked undead minions upon them. The Evil party could have been searching for a Map to a lost necropolice - whos location was burried here in the barrow for all time. When the players either Shoe away the Evil heroes, kill them etc - the players can have a go looking thru the crypt for the item / map that shows the way to the necropolis. it could be an Encrypted puzzel on a floor tile Mosiac or maybe magically warded text in an old Tomb within the Clutches of the buried guy. perhaps the burried guy ... "isnt in his sarcophagus..." when they open it... leading them to say... "Ahhh... this isnt good" - and have him be a Psycic Vampire named "Lemastre"

Sets you up for the next Adventure if you ever have it, Long journey to this necropolis. and also sets up some BBEG's to compete against - who have Goals the players might be trying to figur out.

What do you think?
