| rikimaru7501-10-07, 12:41 PM | Hey everyone, My next session with my friends in a few days, and I am going to send them against a pair of Death Knights [MM2] (a level 10 Paladin of Tyranny DK and a level 10 Sorceror DK) in a field about 60-80 ft. diameter dungeon (12-16 squares/hexes across) with a load of weaker undead as well (wight, skeleton, etc. [for undead followers]. All of the weaker undead, have death throes on them for added effect btw. My question regards the Death Knight Touch attack ability. Can they use their touch attack to heal themselves and their minions? Another question that I have is slightly tangent to the encounter and it regards Greater Mirror Image (Spell Compendium/PHB [for regular]). The Sorceror DK has Metamagic Specialist from PHB2 and one of his feats is Still Spell. Should the sorceror get grappled by say...a Druid Wild Shaped into a Dire Bear, can he use Stilled Greater Mirror Image to get himself out of the grapple by swapping with one of his clones? Would the clone instantly *poof* after it's done though? Thanks again. |

| TommyBlack01-10-07, 02:45 PM | (after pulling out my dusty old MM2) The death knight's touch attack deals negative energy to living creatures. By that wording, it presumably has no effect on nonliving (or undead) creatures. However, usually negative energy heals undead so go ahead and interpret it either way. Of course the constitution damage has no effect on the undead either way. |
