My group is just starting Red Hand of Doom and are enjoying it. They are already expressing interest in continuing with their characters after 12th level (or whatever level they get to by the end). I hadn't given it much thought yet and was wondering if anyone had any adventure ideas for after it. I have set Red Hand in Forgotten Realms. City of the Spider Queen would fit in nice but we have already played through it with previous characters, plus I wouldn't mind somehow staying with the Tiamat theme.

One of my players wants to do the Legendary Leader Prestige class and maybe unite Elsir Vale under one banner. Not sure how to do this and still keep the other players involved.

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

In our Gnome Game with five players, encounters which have worked:

Six Digesters
Six Gargantuan Monstrous Spiders

Advanced Fiendish Dire Bear with three normal by side.
( I thought it was CR 16, but the players managed to prepare better there. )
The players easily beat a Greater Dusk Giant paired with a Lesser one, but that
was due to luck.
On the other hand, two Greater Dusk Giants were nearly a TPK.

So... for a nice, balanced encounter, you need five, six CR7s or 8s, is my experience thus far.
Fewer, more powerful opponents and it becomes a game of luck more than anything. I _thought_ that the six Gargantuan spiders would have been a bit much, but they were saved by having larger, tastier looking targets, and low intelligence opponents.

Those same spiders with an int of 10 would have been deadly, though...

edit:
Oh, I'm telling this because we started at level 12. Just reached lv 13, and they're off to see the (cr 17) dragon.
