| Planar Wanderer05-01-05, 05:55 AM | Hi, I've been around the boards here and there for a while (mostly making a fool of myself but thats another matter) trying to pick up some stuff from other posters before I start my own D&D game in the area, I was introduced to D&D via. neverwinter nights and have read the core rulebooks several times, I am currently trying to create a campaign world (I'd join someone else's game but there aren't any near me) and the problem I've run into is this: I don't really know how much detail there should be before starting the game, so I was wondering, how deep to you plan your campaign worlds, just a "globe" map and a few notes on any major powers in the world or right down to all the towns and villages in the countries or somewhere in between (keep in mind I'm likely going to have to explain roleplaying to the people I'll be gaming with so we'll all be fairly new) |

I keep looking at the homebrew board and when i finally think of something to post there I post it here instead (okay that would be the *counts on fingers then runs out* any way another stupid thing to add to my list. I'm not an american so the RPG classifieds board is nigh on useless but I'd rather not say exactly where. I will now try and post this in Homebrew. (If a Mod could delete this then I'd be grateful. |
