Alignmentless systems [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-17-07, 07:40 PM I was wondering if someone could point me to a thread or website that rips alignment completley out of the game. I know there's been several on the boards over the years, but the lack of a search feature and poor search-fu on google is making it so I come up with bupkis.

Mostly I'm wondering what to do about spells and abilities that have alignment restrictions or only affect people of certain alignments, how to rework the paladin's smite evil ability, and creatures with alignment subtypes.

There's probably more than I'm not considering, so any suggestions are welcome.

06-17-07, 07:56 PM Option 1) remove alignment based spells from game. Remove smite evil from game. Remove alignment subtype from game. There no more alignment.

Option 2) rework the alignment based spells. So Holy Smite becomes Smite (works on anyone who doesn't follow your god). Smite evil is Smite infedel (once againg anyone not folllowing your god). Remove subtupes.

You mean the server is selective about who it lets use the search function?

If so, I didn't know that.
