Its actually an enemy from the past of the involved characters that they sent to another plane. The guy was wicked evil and the group thought the best solution would be to send him to thier enemies. Kinda like using fire against fire. But when the bad guy got there.. they joined forces. Needless to say the guy is a Chosen of Tiamat now. Im trying to design it so that this ONE character is able to put up a really really hard challenge for these people at lv 20 (its like the initiation to hit 21) So i need help. Heres what they are at the moment: 1 Pixie Warlock/Cleric/MysticThurge 1 Human Ranger 1 Halfling Rogue 1 Githerizai Weaponmaster 1 Elf Cleric of Mystra 1 Human Paladin/Knight of Bahamut (not sure class name) -=- Ok here is the guy they are to fight, last they saw him he was just an increadibly strong Human Fighter but ive added some stuff: Vallon Corrupted Half-Fiend Half-Pyroclastic Dragon Fighter 10/(suggestion on other 10 levels please) Large Size Str 40 Dex 22 Con 28 Int 14 Wis 18 Cha 15 Regeneration 5 (from carfeully worded wish) Fast Healing 10 (from corrupted template) Due to his Str and his claws he will prolly be doing natural attacks, he has Greater Two- Weapon Fighting among many other things. Wears Black and Red, Poisoned Spiked, Razor, Full Plate with 4 Insence Sensors in the shape of small spiked black iron balls hanging off chains from the armor. 2 of the sensors hold a inhaled poison, 2 hold an inhaled drug. -=- Things i need suggestions on are the following: 1. The 10 unaccounted for Levels.. perferablly something that raises saves and attacks. 2. Equipment and Magic Items 3. Ways around or preventative measures against certain spells such as: Teleporting Away, Anti-magic, Wish, Timestop, Baleful Polymorph, Excessive Healing from Cleric (he has Hierophant Levels), ect. 4. A way to reduce any Smite Evil, Smite Law abilities or anything targeting those two alignments. Other then that i would love to hear any of your suggestions. I want them to use up nearly every resource they have available when they fight this guy, a couple of them should die but not the entire group. Especially since two of them at least can Res, and the Rogue has a Ring of three wishes. I have him with an item that has Psychic Poison on it so Divination spells that get through his Nondetection are bad news ;] Pretty much i want the story to be that when the Champion of Bahamut sent this evil guy to Tiamats realm in thinking that he would at least do some damage there.... Tiamat, being a god knew where the person had come from and who sent him there, so instead of fighting, they joined forces.... fire didnt fight fire... fire made a bigger fire. I got awhile for this encounter as most of those characters are around lv 14-16 Use whatever books you can think of... if i dont have it and i like the idea, thats more of a reason to get the book. |

Take the numbers and make them higher. It doesn't matter what he has whatever in, what matters is that the end result is a tougher opponent. Your PCs will never see his stat block. The players have to be stuck on the rules for fairness, you don't. You're the DM, and your job is to make the encounter fun, drawn out, and climactic. Don't let the rules get in the way, and remember to have fun. |
