| Rillek_Denar03-21-07, 02:00 AM | One of my players is a monk who has control of a Dark Altar Stone (VD114). He wants to know if a soul can be used in any way other than as 1. exp towards an item; or 2. a spell component. What else could you do with a soul? Selling it for 100 gold seems kind of anti-climactic after going to the trouble of sacrificing someone. Any ideas for what else a monk could use a soul for? |

| Evil DM Mk303-21-07, 07:27 PM | I have used an idea based on this sort of thing, although it may be more of a "NPCs hear he has it and nick it for that reason" thing. First this is intended to be foul and utterly utterly evil. Enough souls can be used together (usually about a total of 50hd of people, moster hd or NPC classes counting for 1/100th of a hd) to grant divinty to a mortal. I ahd teh PCs tring to fend off an acending godling in one game. To be honest though there are few things good or neutral guys (and most evil to be honest) would want to do to the primeval essance of a sentient creature. |
