My group has recently lost the only major healer and now are down to a knight , a fighter, a scout, a warlock and a paladin

without a healer the party is considering giving the warlock a wanfd of cure light wounds.

This will be giving him a 3rd role in the group(scorcher, beater and now healer) and I am worried it may not be the best option for keeping all involved

So I am wondering besides the potion and wands method what are some other suggestions to keep the party more together on this one

I have already looked into the dungeon scape cleric in a bag and given the party's level they cannot afford and I do not like the idea of running an npc.

I am guessing the paladin could also use the wand or scrolls of divine magic but I am not sure if that is the right path either

It would be better to give it to the paladin, since he already is a partial healer. It would expand this role for him a little more, but not so much if he was already helping heal.

The scout would be a good second choice. Since you have two fighter types, the scouts role in combat would be less, thus allowing him the option of trying something else.

As far as other healing methods, I don't know.

I would avoid running an npc as a pc, since the party already has 5 members. Maybe you could have one of the pc's gain a sidekick, that just comes along to heal. He has no combat prowess, but could sub as a low level cleric. Maybe make this character a 1st level commoner and him the wand. That would limit his role dramatically, but still do what you want him to do.

Hope this helps.:)
