| bloodmoon13803-05-05, 09:03 AM | my PC is my sister and she is playing an air genansi fighter(air genansi from race for fae-run) and she was wanting to stab into something twist her sword, do extra dmg from twisting her sword, then she wanted to take the stabbed scorpian and swing it at another one to do dmg to the other scorpian and the stabbed one, she wanted to do all of this in one tutn... how many rounds or turns would this actoin take and would it result in an attack of oppertunity??? |

Any sort of "twisting the sword" is already assumed to be taken place. Count a "critical hit" as plunging the sword in and then twisting into a vital spot. If you want to house-rule additional actions for every possible maneuver, (twisting sword, called shots, lopping off appendages, knee to groin)... then you will have a very very slow and very complex combat. It is better just to roll damage and then describe what you did dependant on the damage. Rolling a 1 damage with a d6: "you nicked his arm, a trickle of blood is showing" Rolling a 5 damage with a d6: "you landed a solid blow" Rolling a 10 damage with a d6 (critical) "You plunged the sword in up to the hilt." |

| Neo_Leviathan03-05-05, 09:39 AM | One standard action for the attack to hit the first one, then (assuming you killed that one) if she has cleave she can cleave into the other one (if you want to house rule letting her hit with the body, sure thing, it'll do about 1d6 + str damage. If it *doesn't* kill the other one, then she'll have to make a grapple attempt, then after making the first grapple check, she can try throw it into the other (requiring a strength check, and probably another AoO if the opponent has combat reflexes), requiring a to hit roll, with at *least* -4 penalty, more like -8 (non-proficient, and the opponent will be squirming about trying to get out of her grip). So in the latter case, standard action (First hit), then another standard action (grapple check), then one last standard action to fling the opponent, so three rounds. |
