An adventure dealing with plague [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-28-05, 01:38 PM I have made the mistake of introducing an vague idea into my game and not having much detail behind it. The party is interested in trying to figure out how to cure the plague. I was wondering if any of you can think of any modules that deal with this topic so I can look at some other plot lines.

I really can't lead the PCs off the plot line... one of the PCs went and got himself bit and failed the DC 12 fortitude save... something that I didn't expect for 8th level PCs dealing with CR2s. I expected to just have it introduced and bring it back into the story much later. I am scrambling for some source materials to borrow from.

09-28-05, 02:19 PM Is that the right link? That is to a contest. I didn't dig to deep but I didn't see anything in the synopsis about a plague.

09-28-05, 03:30 PM Heck, the first Act of the Neverwinter Nights computer game dealt with curing a plague. You might want to check that out...

09-28-05, 03:30 PM My advice is don't. Don't cure the plague. Sure, find a way to fix up the PC but whatever you do don't have them find a way to cure the whole thing. That is far too easy and far to unrealistic IMO.

09-28-05, 03:31 PM True... I have thought about that. I think everyone in the party has played through it at elast a few times each. I can't borrow from there.

I chuckled while clicking on the link because I couldn't stop thinking "Our brave adventurers journey deep into the bowels of the cavern, hunting down the arch-villain known as Gin-gi-vitis!
