| UKDM01-24-06, 02:16 PM | Last time me and my 2nd level party played they suffered a... setback. They fought a small group of kobold warriors with crossbows, (4 lvl 2 war) while decending a cliff to the entrance to the kobolds lair. Rather than shooting it out from the highground the party attempted to descend the 40ft clifface, without a rope, in medium and heavy armour. Suffice to say all of them, bar the rogue, fell. The battle however resulted in said rogue, rushing to save the fallen party members being cut off from the group and dying. Now its time for the next session and having finally sorted out what to do with his possesions im left with a problem, ive got two before the session and know idea how to introduce the players replacement charator, a middle aged human druid. Bearing in mind they're by the coast and i have know ideas at all any help would be good. Please... |

The best one to use really depends on the situation the party is in. Some possibilities: 1. If the group is literally travelling along the shore, have the druid washed up on shore, unconscious. 2. The druid is tending to a fallen wolf at the edge of the forest. He has managed to nurse the wolf back to help when the wolf smells someone coming... 3. The druid was sent by his elders to find the seeds to the Qualnasta Tree. The seeds had been stolen by the kobolds who didn't realize that the seeds were inside (insert treasure item received from the kobolds here). |
