| Rokugatsu_chan01-30-06, 05:09 PM | Okay, so my boyfriend has recently asked me, in lieu of a dm who doesn't know how to run a campaign for epic levels, to run a seperate game for his character to preserve his integrity and allow him to continue roleplaying his rping character of fifteen+ years. Though we both agree Dogma and Ryuua, our characters in the other game as I'll refer to it don't have much to do with the other game, we wanted to use the last session we played in a base. Ryuua is a Half-elf ranger, who's lost the grace of her goddess Mielikki due to her god forged weapon and her baby son in the process. Dogma the Cleric literally went through hell and back to retrieve her son and experienced things no good person should. Forces are after him, namely Demogorgon and Orcus (I may change this because the plot to get Demogorgon and Orcus to work together was bogus and ridiculous to say the least). Ryuua was to be his bodyguard in return for him teaching her son. Returning to the north they parted ways when Dogma seemed to radically change his behaviour and she found that her blade was yet again cursing her. She left her child's care to the "insane" cleric who had up until this point been a very benevolent person. He's embittered and he now travels to Greyhawk in the company of the Vestani (stolen from RavenLoft) and the baby, as well as a mysterious woman from the south who fights with two falchions and bellydances for her keep. The woman is a member of a harem of a blue dragon, probably ancient, and has a band of epic level assassins that are working apart from the dragons orders. How should I tie that plot in with the Demogorgon/Orcus hate fest that's going on. I like that dynamic and it would help alot to figure out where I can go from here. The setting he's headed to is in a very "India" like setting and the Dragon is far from evil, more like so old and set in his ways of earning massive amounts of money and lounging in his harem that he's lazy and well-fed but far from weak. He's cornered the market on markets in the south and even mints his own coin to bring in more buisness and letting trusted merchants run most of the goings on, enforcing his laws with his red-robed assassins, and using his harem as ambassadors. The woman who has fled is a memeber of his harem, she fled after killing another of his wives, and the sister of said wife swore revenge. The dragon really has nothing to do with that sort of intrigue, he's more interested in making sure they do their jobs. The woman being his fatima now, she's got few responsibilities so he doesn't really mind her "expanding her horizons" so to speak by going on a journey. She's very devoted to him, as are all of his women, seeing as they're treated so well. Each member of the harem has something different to offer and each member is skilled in a different fighting style. All of them interested in his well being and their placement in the harem. (PS, Ryuua was trained in her skills of the blade by said runaway) |

Well since that happened in someone elses campaign, just change it. How to tie it all together...do you want all the forces aligned against the cleric....theres plenty of ways to do that. need better questions in order to help you. :P |
| Rokugatsu_chan01-31-06, 10:11 AM | I need the red-robed assassins and the gods somehow to come together, to make it a little more difficult. You get an outsider of any kind and a cleric of this level, he's just going to banish it! I need something to make them more dangerous and I don't know how to tie the two seperate plots together. |
