| Dungeon_Master2010-15-03, 02:06 PM | Does anyone know where I might be able to find some help in creating a D&D campaign based on the Scottish War for Independence? Or maybe give me some input on what William Wallace's stats might be? Also does anyone know where I could find some info in Middle Earth D20 system? Thank Guys Robert |

Maybe it will help you add some flavor: http://www.20000-names.com/ (watch out for popups) I would also recommend watching the movie Braveheart, but I have a feeling you've already done that... ;) Matt |
| Dungeon_Master2010-15-03, 02:39 PM | Yeah I watch it at least once a month. I know quite a bit about Scottish history, I just want some opinions on what level and abilities scores to give the NPCs (Wallace ect.) |
| MightyMightyThundarr10-15-03, 02:53 PM | First off, were you going to include magic in the campaign? While some may consider it campaign-specific, the Legendary Tactician PrC in the Dragonlance campaign setting book would be ideal for Wallace. It is similar to the war priest PrC in Defenders of the Faith, only more tailored towards a melee combatant. As such, Wallace should have six or more levels of barbarian, then branch into Legendary Tactician up to the character level you want him to be. Wallace should also be at least int 16 and cha 14, to ensure he has a good amount of skill points to use and a solid modifier to diplomacy checks. |

There's a Scribners "Illustrated Classic" edition available, with illustrations by N.C. Wyeth - the pictures alone make it worth the price of purchase. From the same publisher I'd also recommend R.L. Stevenson's The Black Arrow, which is about the War of the Roses, and Paul Creswick's Robin Hood - neither one deals specifically with Wallace, but both are full of wonderful historical detail and plot devices. |

Since your other questions were fairly well answered already, and I'm not much one for making historical character stats, I'll give this a go... And hopefully not crush your dreams: there is no d20 Middle Earth. |
| dafrca10-16-03, 06:42 AM | Originally posted by AlteredEgo there is no d20 Middle Earth. AlteredEgo is correct as far as an official version. But there are a few Fan based websites out there that have tried to bring d20 and Middle Earth together. Some better then others of course. dafrca |
