Ok, we laughed for a long time when this happened on Friday's game. You have to be familiar with that D&D skit by the Dead Alewives (http://www.deadalewives.com/funny.ccc), or, more specifically, the sequel done by some other guys, (Just search on Kazaa for "Dungeons and Dragons part 2" or something) to get the joke.

Anyways, it was the beginning of the session, we were still getting all situated and remembering what happened last game. Thane (character is 'Loc') was busy dancing to some sweet Castlevania remixes. I (DM) said something like "We can start the game as soon as Loc is done raving." The other guys are like "His character is raving too?" Then I say "If I roll a 10 or above, then yes." I pick up the d20, roll, and, of all the numbers fate could have chosen, it comes up as 11. We all just burst out laughing because we all know that D&D skit by heart.

Haha, yeah. It was funny at the time. Maybe it was one of those "You had to be there" kinda deals.

I did the 'Every potion you find, I mixed speech once.' It happened after they went through a mage's school and found a bunch of potions -- items which I rarely use.

And of course, there's saying 'I cast magic missle at the darkness' For some reason, the women in my group love that one.

We keep winding up in bars, and some wag in the group immediately asks:

"Are there any girls there? If there are, I wanna DO Them!"

Yeah, I've heard all about that skit. Finally downloaded it and heard it. Funny stuff.

And uhhhh, I've never played with anyone like that.

Haha, I've seen that flash video before. Much hilarity. :D

That flash video, by the way, was the conclusion to the PC game Summoner. All of the skins that they're wearing were used in the game, thus the really large demon in the kitchen.

We once had a pair of giant d6s that one player used. We told the DM that if they ever both came up 2, then the result was 5. After all, 2 + 2 = 5, for exceedingly large values of 2.

They never both rolled 2.

All year.

Being the only female in my gaming group, whenever an argument is started, and someone wants to just get on with the game, to end the argument, they will invaribaly say "Whatever, now we have a girl to play <my character's name>"

And when we get loot, someone often swings it around to see if its magical...

*sigh* The guy who plays Lothar of the Hill People just would not feel complete if he did not try to cast magic missile the darkness at least once a game. I always rise to the bait with, "You can't cast anything, you are a barbarian!" to which he replies, "The ways of magic are a mystery."

My high school gaming group had a striking resemblance to these characters.

They were dorks. I don't think they had figured out the girl thing yet - plus I scared the crap out of them since I was the DM. *evil sounding squirrel-like laughter*

Squirrel like? Why am I picturing the Doom from Roger Rabbit all of a sudden? Do your eyes pop out daggers?

Well.. not literally but I do stare down engineers as a profession. *software project manager* In the DM voice thread you will see me describe my voice as "squirrel like." It is sad but true.
