StrahdVonZarovich 11-23-05, 04:47 PM	Hey guys, I was wondering if you could help-me out with something. It happened a long time ago, nut nevertheless I want your opinions on this thing. Its about a certain campaign that happened a few years ago... Back then I was playing a lawful-good wizard and the rest of the team was made-up of the following players : A lawful-good dwarven fighter NPC(controlled by the Dm, mind you) A lawful-good dwarven cleric of Moradin And a Chaotic-Good half-orc Barbarian. We walk into a town, and first thing we know we're being thrown in jail, just 'cuz the guards felt like we derserved it. Being in an unknow land, we don't resist, and hand-over our wpns not wanting any troubles. Later in the night the Commander of guards himself come visiting us in secret and gather us all in a secret chamber where he explains that he had arrested for one reason, and this reason is assasinated the current Prince of this kingdom. He also explains he's gonna take care of the king himself when the king will be off-guard after the death of his son. Soldiers are no problem since about 70% are already loyal to him. Of course he needed outsiders to do the job, since no one will ever suspect us. So after his rather treacherous, and what he consider to be generous offer, I immediately say no being the 'good' and offensed wizard that I am. But to my surprise both dwarves agrees to do it. Only the half-orc and myself were relunctant to do it. So having no choice...(it was that or spend the rest of our lives in jail) we finaly agreed to do it...the rest of the campaign was pretty-easy, we had simply to sneak in the palace at dawn using secret corridors and chambers and kill the young prince. Of course I and the half-orc refused to kill an innocent child. But both dwarves seem quite happy to do it in order to save their own skins(the commander had spies and soldiers all around to watch us all the time). So what had to be done was done, unfortunately... After we escaped, and never-came back to this acursed town, and the worst conclusions of this whole mess is that both dwarves din't feel a damn remorse about it ! So, tell me opinions, feedback ? Questions regarding their alignment ?
20goingon1232 11-23-05, 04:58 PM	If it is the first adventure (ie., the start of a campaign), I'd change their sheets to CN on the spot and then take their sheets away (no CS in my games). HOWEVER, I say this because I would have told them, BEFORE THE GAME STARTED (<-- very important!), that Evil and CS are big no-nos as they will be playing in a HEROIC campaign. But LG they are not.
StrahdVonZarovich 11-23-05, 05:13 PM	Thats what I though too...Mind you the sucker who was runing this campaign and player the fighter (supposedly LG) quited our group after an argument where he couldn't prove his point and went mad to the point he just quit the group...I made a thread about this whole mess too here on this board a year ago IIRC, I wish I could show it to you, but since the damn search feature is still unactive, I can't !
Szat 11-23-05, 05:27 PM	I'd say either N or E alignments would better suit the dwarves.
