Well I have been Dming for some time now (but I still dont think im very good at it, well more or less OK) but now I need to run a campan in the underdark (one of the players got EVERY one to like drow now thay all what to be them) I have never been one to tell the players what kind of characters thay can or cant make (exept for dragons... I will NEVER let them be a dragon! i get that to many times) so befor i start to ramble... anyone have any cule how to run a campan in the underdark? all i know is that drow live in big web looking citys, thay are all evil, and there are a lot of spiders everywere.

Do you intend to let them be Evil? I ask, because some DMs (myself included) don't normally provide that option for various reasons.

After determining what alignments they may be, you can decide on adventures.

If they are an evil bunch, they might be used as raiders - collecting slaves and loot from nearby svirneblin and other races' settlements; perhaps even surface raids on dark nights.

Intrigue and Drow normally are synonymous. The houses constantly scheme, and the PCs might be caught up in said scheming. Politics, assassinations, frame-ups, burglary, etc. Read Machievelli's The Prince for ideas.

Then again, the PCs might be on the run, having become the only living members of a certain house after a failed bid for power.

General exploration can be used, too. Or the defend the home city from those nasty surface-world invaders.

Lots of stuff.

Generally speaking, Drow cities are ruled by Houses. Each House represents a family, and occasionally its lesser allies.

Find a copy of City of the Spider Queen for details. There are other Drow adventures out there, as well.

For Drow sourcebooks, Green Ronin has Plot and Poison, while Goodman Games has Complete Book of the Drow (http://www.goodman-games.com/3006preview.php). Mongoose (http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/d20/index.php) has the Quintessential Drow and Encyclopedia Arcane: Drow Magic.

In addition, there are very likely numerous pdfs dealing with Drow available at your preferred online gaming store. Some might even be free!
