I've only had the opportunity to use it once thus far, but it worked out nicely for me.

Some may argue it's Too Good, but for me I like the idea of having the peasants still matter, even at level 8.

I was looking for a way to have a swarm of zombies for so long and now I can finally do it. It works well.

I personally love it, but some people have a very real concern about the fact that a fireball won't kill an entire town under a DM using these rules.

I personally love it, but some people have a very real concern about the fact that a fireball won't kill an entire town under a DM using these rules.

However, there's nothing stopping the DM from describing the effective damage froma fireball with much glorification given to flying bodies and human torches. It just isn't enough to completely wipe out the entire population with a single casting.

Personally, I'm willing to accept this if it means that my players don't start trying to get away with murder just because no one is able to stop them. How do we spell Lynch Mob, anyone? :D

I like them, but PCs used to thinking a single fireball will kill every commoner within it's radius might not accept it at first.

When players complain about a fireball not killing an entire mob try to explain to them how the whole mob would not be taken out by a grenade. Sure, a great many people may be killed/blown to bits/gibbed/splattered...but the few that lucked out and survived will now be very ****** off or scared that they are covered with bits of their friends and possibly attack the party with renewed vigor. And if the Wizard is still ****** off by this fact just tell him to magic missle the crowd to give it level drain. :)

But now we're opening up a whole can of worms with mob rules. Next thing we know, our player characters will be hiring a mob of beggars to overpower everything in its path... :nonono: Our campaigns will be ruined! (see KotDT for details)
