Any other way to get Stonecunning? [Archive] - Wizards Community

Any other way to get the ability Stonecunning without being a Dwarf?
I know of the Cavern Domain and races such as Svirneblin so is there any other non LA (or LA+1) race or Feat (preferred) that can be taken to get this?

There's a prestige class in one of the complete books. I think it's Complete Warrior or Complete Adventurer. It's called the Dark Stalker, or Dark Creeper, or something like that. Basically, it's a prestige class for making a ranger effective underground. I believe Stonecunning is one of the features.

07-28-05, 12:21 PM Races of Stone also has a 3-level prestige class that essentially allows you to be adopted by a stonedwelling race. As you progress, you gain more race-related features until at Level 3 you are considered to BE a member of that race. (If I recall correctly, that is.)

There is actually a magic item in the DMG called belt of dwarvenkind or dwarven belt or something to that affect, which gives you stonecunning, darkvision, and a few other things.

07-28-05, 01:55 PM Two levels of Dungeon Delver (CV, 42-44) will grant you Stonecunning. It's a little different from the dwarves' ability, in that the bonuses are competence bonuses, instead of racial bonuses, so if you're already a race that has Stonecunning, the benefit of the class feature stacks with that of your race.
