I need to know if there is any way(wepon abilities, spells, feats, or other) to drop a creature to 0 Intelligence score.

Most ways i have found to drop inteligence stop at 1 point.
touch of idiocy, ray of stupidity, etc. all say that they can not take intelligence to lower than 1.

Is there any way that you guys know of to accomplish this at all.

From other arguments on these boards, I was under the impression that Ray of Stupidity did not have such a clause, and that it could in fact drop you to 0 Int. It does ability damage, not imposes a penalty, correct?

There is also 1) poison, and 2) the Soulknife's "Knife to the Soul" ability. I'm sure there are more.

Doesn't Intelligence = 0 = not-living. Which is to say, if you took a human and found a way to reduce intelligence to zero, they die?

No. For that you need to reduce Constitution to 0. If you reduce Intelligence to 0 you are in a coma, I think. d20srd.org

That's how it is with all abilities if I'm correct...
0 strength = unable to breath.
0 dexterity = muscularly catatonic and thus unable to breath
0 constitution = body stops functioning... and thus dead
0 intelligence = braindead
0 wisdom = insanity leading to braindeath?
0 charisma = depression leading to braindeath? (or so ugly you died? XD)

No... Soluphobe is correct. The only ability that kills you when reduced to 0 is Con. All the others just incapacitate you.

Aww, no braindeath? I think a 0 in Intelligence should do the trick, kinda like a mental counterpart to constitution.

They all used to kill you in 3.0. They changed it to be less lethal.

That's what having a non-ability would entail. To be more specific, this would mean mindless. Wis or Cha "-" would mean Object status.

Actually, ability scores of 0 didn't kill you in 3.0, except for Constitution, of course.

To adress the question: Polymorph Any Object enables you to turn somebody into a pebble if you want to, though this won't be permanent. You could permanently polymorph a bear into a bear fur cloak, though.

There is a way! Cast a Fel Animating (might be wrong as to the exact name here, it's a metamagic feat) Finger of Death. Bam, failed save, target dies, raises as a zombie Int 0, under your control.

I do not condone doing this to your fellow players....it seems to upset them when you kill their character, and then force their rotting corpse to be your trapspringer.

Zombies have Int -, not int 0. They are not the same thing.

Because a tarrasque has only a 3 intelligence as do many other lesser intelligent animals and creatures
get them to 0 of any ability score they are helpless and subject to coup de grace from any and all characters easily dealt with

The 3 mental abilities don't kill you but leave you unable to do anything and Helpless, therefore open to mass Coup-de-grace.

I personally rule that with strength, 0 leaves you too weak to move, but at -1 your heart isn't strong enough to beat.

At Dex 0 you're paralyzed, at -1 the nervous system crashes causing death.

I also house rule that more than -10 for any of the mental stats is irreparable by anything less than Wish, Miracle or Greater Restoration. You could also decide which of these stats represent the soul and therefore would require Resurrection to bring them back.
