Did your players like it? What were the highs? What were the lows? What did you change or modify?

I'm currently running it right now. I'll let you know how it goes. So far it seems pretty good. Lots of action and tense battles with some substantial roleplay. All in all I like the flow and tempo, it's pretty good.

I've run it. My players enjoyed the plot and setting a lot, but the deadliness of some of the combats was a downer - everyone lost at least one character, culminating with a TPK at the start of the final chapter.

A good DM should be able to compensate for that, though - I think, at the time, I was being a little too uncompromising in following the module, and not thinking on my feet enough.

We just completed part one of five, we just arrived in Terrelton. If we are to continue posting, please, people, alert others if there are huge spoilers in your post and what part that they are from.

It's great fun, the longest campaign my DM has ever run. His campaigns are ok, but only for level 1-8. After that, he thinks that level 10 and above characters are overpowered. He's just bad at writing higher level campaign, hopefully this will change after DM-ing Red Hand of Doom.

The Party was
Dwarven Cleric LG

Dwarven Fighter/Deep Warden NG-and yet the player plays him just as greedily and NE-vly as always.

Human Wu Jen named "Gan Ning"-you can tell that this character usually plays the fighter guy, all hack and slash, bad roleplaying, doesn't know how to level up his character. We forced him to play a non fighter/damage dealing/sneaky ninja character. And by forced I actually mean, we picked out our characters before he did.

Human Ninja/Dread Commando-me :D

Well, Gan Ning was tired of preparing spells and having a strength of five and he wanted to be an OOTBI or arcane archer. I suggested he take Duskblade to qualify for AA. We made an alternate class, Duskbow and got it approved by the DM. I had always wanted to play a Duskblade, I'm into things arcane and never have been a front line fighter. He insisted that do it so that we'd fit into the plot as The Terrible Twins of Terrelton. I caved.
A while back the DM the Dwarven Fighter and I got in an arguement. When the DM struck down is final ruling with his Godly might I knew it was time to quit, the Dwarf didn't so he quit.

Now we've got a party of a cleric, and archer, and two front line fighters, one of which has blasting capabilities. Since the dwarf fighter character was gone and I realized that with my ninja gone we had no sneaky skill monkey, so I made a beguiler. I am best friends with all the characters in RL and it turns out the Dwarf fighter was thinking about making a beguiler when Red Hand of Doom was done. I told him that I already made one to replace his dwarf so he rejoined.

And there was much rejoicing.
