Dryder 09-26-04, 02:36 PM	Just a short one! If an opponent is being flanked (+2 to hit) and, during his turn, moves away from his position, provoking attacks of opportunities from the flankers, do the flankers still get the +2 bonus to hit him??? Thanx for your help guys!
Gryllmyre 09-26-04, 02:48 PM	I would say flanking rules apply to whatever square the opponent is moving out of. So if the square being moved out of is flanked, then yes, flanking applies. The same applies to the AoO that occurs against a prone opponent standing up. All attackers should get the +4 to hit against a prone opponent even though he is getting up.
Father Dale 09-26-04, 03:08 PM	Gryllmore is right. AoO's happen, and are resolved, immediately BEFORE the event that triggers them. For a character in a flank that moves out of the flank (except if it is just a 5-ft step or the withdraw action or the character succesfully tumbles out), the act of moving out of that threatened square triggers the AoO from both flankers. Thus, the character would still be in the square in which he is flanked when the AoOs occur. Thus, the flankers would still get the flanking bonus to attack him if they take the AoOs.
